A Great Place To Stay

The magnificent Royal Palace of Falkland was built by James IV and James V between 1501 and 1541 as their country residence. The Stuarts used the Palace as a lodge when hunting deer and wild boar in the forests of Fife. Royal portraits hang in the Palace, and you can get a flavour of Palace life when you enter the re-created King’s Bedchamber and Queen’s Room. Soak up the atmoshere in the Unique Chapel Royal and Keeper’s Apartments, refurbished by the Marquess of Bute in the late 19th century.
