A Great Place To Stay

Lothrie House, newly refurbished accommodation, is in the very centre of Kirkcaldy (famously known as the ‘Lang Toun’).  The town is the birth place of Adam Smith, social philosopher, known worldwide as the father of modern economics, for which a lasting memorial for him – the Adam Smith Theatre – is situated next to Lothrie House.  Kirkcaldy Museum and Art Gallery are close by as is the rail/bus stations being a few minutes walk. Kirkcaldy is a central location for exploring the Kingdom of Fife – the historic golfing town of St. Andrews is approximately 40 minutes drive and the coastal towns and villages along the East Neuk around 20 minutes drive.  The city of Edinburgh, across the Forth Road Bridge, is approximately 30 minutes drive.
